Monitored Domains, Automated Schedules & Dev vs. Live Audits

EnSightX™ features a Domain-Centric Architecture designed to keep your tested URLs neatly organized, maintain private credentials per website, schedule automated weekly background scans, and enable pre-launch testing with Dev vs. Live Comparisons.

Overview

EnSightX™ groups all tests, credentials, historical analytics, and automated scan schedules by domain. This ensures multi-brand agencies and store owners can maintain segregated data, private API keys, and dedicated weekly schedules for each property.

🌐 1. Managing Monitored Domains

A Monitored Domain represents a website or store that you manage (e.g. yourstore.com or staging.yourstore.com).

Adding a Monitored Domain:

  1. Navigate to EnSightX™ > 🌐 Monitored Domains & Schedules.
  2. Click "+ Add Monitored Domain".
  3. Fill out the domain setup form:
    • Domain Name: e.g., yourstore.com
    • Environment Type:
      • 🔴 Live / Production: Your live customer-facing store.
      • 🟡 Dev / Staging: Your development or testing environment.
    • Display Name / Nickname: Friendly label (e.g., "US Main Flagship", "Staging QA Store").
    • Isolated Credentials: Optional Google PageSpeed Key, GA4 Property ID, Search Console Site URL, and Service Account JSON key.
  4. Click "Save Domain & Credentials".

Dynamic Tool Stream Badges

EnSightX™ automatically detects which credentials you have configured on the domain and updates the dashboard badge:

  • ⚡ 1 Stream (PageSpeed): Google Lighthouse speed and Core Web Vitals audits.
  • ⚡ 2 Streams (Dual-Signal): PageSpeed + Traffic (GA4) or Keywords (Search Console).
  • ⚡ 3 Streams (Tri-Stream AI): Complete unified intelligence combining speed, real shopper traffic, and organic search keywords.

📑 2. Saved URLs & Weekly Automated Scans

Instead of re-typing URLs each time you run a test, you can save key pages under your domain and put them on an automated monitoring schedule:

Key Pages to Monitor:

  • Homepage: https://yourstore.com/
  • Top Collection / Category: https://yourstore.com/collections/bestsellers
  • Featured Product Page: https://yourstore.com/products/flagship-item
  • Cart & Checkout Pages: https://yourstore.com/cart
  • Top Landing Page / Blog Article: https://yourstore.com/blog/buying-guide

Setting Up a Saved URL:

  1. On the Monitored Domains & Schedules screen, locate the "Saved URLs & Weekly Auto-Scan Schedule" table.
  2. Enter the page URL and an optional Path Label (e.g., "Homepage" or "Holiday Landing Page").
  3. Choose your default device strategy (Mobile or Desktop).
  4. Toggle the "Weekly Auto-Scan" switch to ON.
  5. Click "Add URL to Schedule".

Automated Weekly Scans vs. Manual Scans:

  • ⏰ Weekly Auto-Scans: EnSightX™ automatically audits your scheduled URLs in the background once every 7 days and updates your historical trend charts.
  • ⚡ Manual Scan Button: Click "⚡ Manual Scan" next to any saved URL to trigger an immediate, fresh audit whenever you make changes.

⚡ 3. Dev vs. Live Pre-Deployment Comparisons

When your development team or agency is building a new theme, redesigning product templates, or installing new apps on a staging server, you want to know if the changes will hurt your live site's speed before launching them.

How to Run a Dev vs. Live Comparison:

  1. Navigate to the ⚡ Dev vs Live Comparison tab.
  2. Select your Dev / Staging Domain (Version A) and enter your staging URL.
  3. Select your Live Production Domain (Version B) and enter your live URL.
  4. Click "Run Dev vs Live Comparison".

What You Get:

  • 📊 Side-by-Side Score Dials: Instant comparison of Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO between Dev and Live.
  • ⚡ Side-by-Side Core Web Vitals: Compare loading times (LCP), responsiveness (TBT), and visual shifts (CLS) side-by-side.
  • 🛡️ AI Pre-Deployment Safety Assessment: The AI analyzes the differences and warns you if the staging version introduces new speed bottlenecks, render-blocking scripts, or uncompressed media before you push to production.
